From June 21- 22, 2018, Peng Liyuan, WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Tuberculosis /HIV AIDS Prevention and Control, visited Zhaojue County in the hinterland of Daliang Mountain, to investigate the local HIV/AIDS prevention and care education, and visited the families affected by HIV/AIDS.

On June 22nd, Peng Liyuan and her delegation attended the "I Master My Own Beautiful Youth" Red Ribbon campus activity jointly organized by the National Health Commission and the People's Government of Sichuan Province. They talked about the experience and perception of AIDS prevention and control work with the representatives of college volunteers, and awarded flags to the newly established Xichang University Red Ribbon Youth volunteer Group. UN Vice-secretary-general, Executive Director of UNAIDS, Foreign Director of APEPCY Sidibe and the first Ambassador of APEPCY Bai Yansong attended the above activities upon invitation.

At the meeting, Sidibe delivered an effusive speech, praising the work of the Chinese government and non-governmental organizations in the fight against AIDS.

During the activity, Peng Liyuan and her delegation also participated in the opening ceremony of Liangshan Children's Summer Camp "Love Under the Sun" and had a cordial interaction with the children. Afterwards, she talked with the representatives of college volunteers about the experience and perception of AIDS prevention and control volunteer work, encouraging college volunteers to let their youth shine for love.

Zhan Chengdong from Chengdu Institute of Technology participated in the meeting as a volunteer representative of the Heart Union House (The anti-disaster version of Changier Hut).

Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province has always been the focus area of APEPCY, and Heart Connection Base of APEPCY in Sichuan Province has carried out for poverty alleviation on health at site for many times.

After the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake, APEPCY initiated the "1+1 Heart Connection Action", set up "Heart connection House" in the schools of Wenchuan, Dujiangyan and Mianzhu, helped the schools establish a long-term psychological assistance mechanism, and trained and cultivated local teachers in the disaster areas. A permanent local psychological rescue team has been formed to accompany the children to grow up healthily.
