Representatives of the campers shared their experiences in life and study, expressing gratitude for the care and support from the Party, government, and all sectors of society.
Prior to the ceremony, Peng Liyuan and the campers visited a themed exhibition, learning about the profound and splendid history of Chinese civilization. Peng Liyuan encouraged the campers to draw spiritual strength from the outstanding traditional Chinese culture, to enhance their national confidence and pride, to cherish their time, study diligently, and strive to become pillars of society.
The "Love Under the Sunshine" Summer Camp was launched in 2010 by the Chinese Association of STD and AIDS Prevention and Control and the Chinese Center for Health Education. Over the years, with the strong support of Party committees and governments at all levels and broad participation from society, children affected by HIV/AIDS have been invited to broaden their horizons, experience social warmth, and establish lofty ideals.
Representatives from relevant international organizations in China, Red Ribbon Health Ambassadors, and others attended the event.
