On May 20, the 3rd Yangtze River Delta Health Summit 2023, themed "Chinese-style Health Modernization: Theory, Path and Model", was successfully held in Shanghai. The summit emphasized the need to advance interdisciplinary, cross-regional, cross-departmental, and cross-industrial collaborations with a comprehensive perspective and strategic vision to forge a consensus on and promote the health industry's development in the Yangtze River Delta.

The summit was guided by the Yangtze River Delta Regional Cooperation Office, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, the Jiangsu Commission of Health, the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province, the Health Commission of Anhui Province, the Shanghai Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau, the Jiangsu Medical Insurance Bureau, the Zhejiang Medical Insurance Bureau, and the Anhui Medical Insurance Bureau, hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), and co-organized by Institute of Healthy Yangtze River Delta, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of International and Public Affairs, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, SJTU China Institute of Urban Governance, and the Beijing Changier Education Foundation. The summit was witnessed by nearly 300 leaders, experts, and representatives from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Anhui, such as Cai Dafeng, Vice Chairman of the 14th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, Yan Junqi, Vice Chairman of the 12th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, former President of the Central Institute of Socialism, and former Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, Chen Zhu, Vice Chairman of the 13th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the Red Cross Society of China, and Gu Boping, Chief Cultural Scholar of Taihe Institute and Deputy Director of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the 12th CPPCC National Committee.

During the keynote speech part, several experts delivered compelling lectures on topics such as "The Path to Chinese-style Health Modernization," "High-Quality Development of the Medical and Health Service System," and "Promoting the Construction of a Healthy China with Culture as the Soul". They provided an in-depth analysis of the main topic "Chinese-style Health Modernization" from different perspectives and aspects.
