On August 24, the "Education of Love Comes to Huai'an" charity program for education support was held at Shien Middle School in Huai'an County, jointly organized by the Beijing Changier Education Foundation and the Huai'an County Bureau of Education, Sports and Technology. Attendees included Wang Zuoshu, former member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, former vice chairperson of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, and chief consultant of APEPCY; Zhang Yinjun, director of the Social Welfare Committee of the Beijing New Social Stratum Association and president of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation; Shen Xin, deputy secretary of the Huai'an County Party Committee (on temporary assignment as a division director from the General Office of the State Council); Zhang Fengbiao and Li Yanping, deputy chairpersons of the Huai'an County Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; and Qiao Jianyou, director of the Huai'an County Bureau of Education, Sports and Technology.

Before the event began, the attending leaders and guests toured the campus of Shien Middle School and the Changier Hut on site, learning about its spatial layout, functional zones, and daily operating mechanisms.

The donation ceremony was hosted by Zhang Fengbiao, deputy chairperson of the Huai'an County Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. In her speech, Li Yanping, deputy chairperson of the Huai'an County Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said that Huai'an has a long tradition of valuing education and virtue. She noted that the "Education of Love Comes to Huai'an" charity program was both a warm-hearted gesture of education support and an empowering effort to foster virtue through education. "It brings the concept of love into campuses, delivers professional support to the front lines, and sows the hope of growth among young students," she said. She encouraged students to cherish gratitude and grow with optimism, transforming the care and support from all sectors of society into an inner driving force for diligent study and self-improvement.

In her speech, Zhang Yinjun, President of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, paid high tribute to Wang Zuoshu, deputy chairperson of the CPPCC National Committee, for his consistent care and support for the Changier public welfare cause. She also extended sincere thanks to the Huai'an County Committee, county government, and the county's education, sports, science and technology bureau for their full support in implementing the project. "Love is the soul of education, and nurturing a person must begin with nurturing the heart," she said. Over the past two decades, APEPCY has upheld its founding mission of "nurturing through love". Using the Changier Huts as a platform, it has systematically carried out education on adolescent HIV/AIDS prevention, sexual health, mental health, and family education. Standardized Changier Huts have been built in more than 1,400 schools nationwide, benefiting over 33 million students, teachers, and parents. "Through this collaboration with Huai'an County, we have achieved full coverage of Changier Huts in all 19 primary and secondary schools across the county," she said. "We have also provided academic assistance and growth mentorship to 50 students from financially disadvantaged families, allowing the Education of Love to take root in rural communities and truly benefit those at the grassroots level."

He called on teachers across the county to uphold the principle of "nurturing people with love and educating through virtue", and encouraged students to cherish gratitude and pursue goodness, turning society's warmth into concrete actions of diligent study and all-round development.

At the event, the Beijing Changier Education Foundation donated financial aid and educational supplies to the Huai'an County Bureau of Education, Sports, Science and Technology, supporting 50 students facing hardship. With support from Jianlong Heqiao (Ningbo), a caring enterprise, the foundation also helped build 19 Changier Huts in primary and secondary schools. Chen Long, representative of Changier Hut school principals, and a representative of the sponsored students each delivered speeches, expressing sincere gratitude and determination to grow.

At the end of the event, Wang Zuoshu delivered a special lecture titled "Direction Matters More Than Effort". Drawing on the essence of education, the optimization of teaching methods, and the patterns of adolescent physical and mental development, he explained in accessible terms the contemporary meaning of "moral education for well-rounded development". He encouraged teachers and students to set clear life goals, cultivate sound character, and approach academic challenges scientifically. The lecture received an enthusiastic response from the audience.

This charitable event centered on two core initiatives: the construction of Changier Huts and financial aid for students facing hardship. It focused on addressing weak links in rural education and aimed to build a comprehensive Education of Love support system covering all stages of schooling. Taking this event as an opportunity, Huai'an County will continue to deepen the fundamental task of moral education, accelerate the improvement of a long-term mechanism for moral education across the county, and continuously promote the high-quality development of education in the county.
