Dear Members of the Changier Family,
As the final rays of sunlight of 2025 sink beyond the horizon, we stand at the crossing of time, looking back on the path we have walked this year, with hearts filled with reflection, gratitude, and deep emotion.
Over the past year, we have measured the warmth of education with our steps and safeguarded the light of youth with unwavering dedication. We have remembered where we came from and remained true to our original aspiration. Through twenty years of perseverance through wind and rain, and twenty years of steadfast progress, the Changier community has continued to uphold a pure and sincere commitment, writing a defining chapter of our time in protecting the healthy growth of young people.
This year, we moved forward together, hand in hand.
From the snowy highlands to every corner of the world, from more than 1,400 Changier Huts across China to countries along the Belt and Road, our footsteps have traced mountains and rivers at home and crossed seas to share China’s public-welfare wisdom globally.
In Dingri County, we helped students in difficulty keep their dreams of education alive; in Weifang, teacher training empowered educators; in Hunan, the second Changier Seed Teacher Training Program sowed seeds of hope. In every Changier Hut, millions of adolescents have gained strength for growth through our steadfast commitment.
Motherly Love Academy—warmth across mountains and seas. In October, the Motherly Love Academy Training Base was inaugurated in northern Fujian, carrying forward millennia of wisdom with a focus on motherly love education. The Academy also went global, taking root in Indonesia through partnerships with the Metropolitan Group and the Zhou Daguang Foundation to establish Indonesia’s first Motherly Love Academy. From China to the world, the Motherly Love Academy is nurturing more lives with Eastern wisdom.
Upholding integrity while innovating, we illuminated public welfare through the arts. In June, the “You Are the Spark” Changier Public Welfare Concert Tour resonated by the shores of West Lake, conveying the power of love through music. In November, the film Changier premiered nationwide, telling a moving story of youth and growth through light and shadow. With nearly 3,000 preview screenings across close to 100 cities, it became a phenomenon—helping more people see the struggles of adolescence, understand the meaning of education, and support public welfare. When art and public good embrace, seeds of love take root in the hearts of millions.
On the international stage, we made China’s voice heard. In March, the Changier Foundation participated in the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), sharing Chinese approaches with the world. We hosted an online side event of the UN Youth Forum, ensuring youth voices were heard across time and space. Chairperson Zhang Yinjun delivered a keynote address at the first China–Africa Civil Dialogue Forum of the AU Economic, Social and Cultural Council, articulating China’s public-welfare wisdom. At BRICS civil society activities, we actively contributed proposals, helping integrate China’s perspectives into international consensus. We also co-hosted the “2025 People and Nature Reading Week” with three UN agencies, using the light of reading to illuminate pathways to sustainable development and making nationwide reading a bridge connecting people and nature.
From refugee camps in Indonesia to the “Little Bird Nest” in Madagascar; from the “Silk Road, Hearts Connected” volunteer services in Nairobi, Kenya, to dialogues on “Chinese Tea and Traditional Dress,” Changier’s international goodwill ambassadors have built bridges of people-to-people connection through action. Their efforts have carried the voices of China’s civil society across mountains and seas, allowing China’s experience and wisdom in adolescent health education to illuminate more corners of the world.
Guided by Party building, we have continued to unite red strength. From themed Party Day activities such as “United with the Party, Building the Future Together,” to participation in red-themed community markets providing mental health services for residents; from the relay of care by the “Chaoyang Growth” youth service team, to visits supporting children with disabilities on Children’s Day, we have consistently delivered the warmth of the Party to every child in need.
This Year, We Are Grateful for You
We are grateful to every member of the Changier family for your steadfast commitment and dedication—
Grateful to the teachers working quietly on the front lines, who use professionalism and compassion to build a protective shield for children;
Grateful to the leaders of Changier Huts across the country, who have helped the “Changier model” take root and flourish in communities far and wide;
Grateful to the principals of Motherly Love Academies, who carry forward the warmth of life education through Eastern wisdom;
Grateful to all donors and volunteers, whose kindness has converged into a powerful current of warmth;
Grateful to our international goodwill ambassadors, who allow China’s public-welfare vision to shine on the global stage;
Grateful to our partners and supporting organizations, whose trust enables us to go further;
And grateful to everyone who cares about and supports Changier—because of you, this cause is filled with strength.
It is this trust and support, spanning mountains and seas, that has ensured we are never alone on the path of educational public welfare.
In 2026, Changier walks with you—growing toward the light.
Wishing every member of the Changier family a Happy New Year, happiness for your loved ones, and success in all that you do.
