On October 19th, Ms. Xiang Ruolan, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor from the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology of the Basic Medical Sciences School of Peking University and Director of Beijing Zhiyun Data Technology Co., Ltd., visited the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, and had discussions and exchanges with Lei Zhitian, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation and Senior Researcher of Taihe Institute, and Xing Haiyan, Secretary General of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation. Secretary General Xing Haiyan warmly welcomed Ms. Xiang Ruolan on behalf of Chairwoman Zhang Yinjun. Liao Shuilan, Director of the Commonweal Dissemination Department of the Foundation, and Ms. Xiang Ruolan respectively introduced their institutions. Ms. Xiang Ruolan highly appreciated the remarkable achievements made by Changier over the past 20 years. She noted that these achievements hold significant academic value and serve as exemplary models of Chinese non-governmental organizations engaging in social governance. They deserve thorough exploration, summarization, and promotion to the world in the form of academic research outcomes. Both sides had in-depth discussions on applying for national research projects, seeking corporate sponsorship, jointly publishing blue books (white papers), and publishing international SCI papers.
Ms. Xiang Ruolan has rich research achievements, focusing on the pathogenesis of diabetes, cancer, autoimmune diseases and other diseases, and her cardiovascular disease physiology research laboratory is subordinate to Peking University Diabetes Center, Peking University Research Center for Obesity and Metabolic Disease, and the Key Laboratory of Molecular Cardiovascular Science of the Ministry of Education. Her team has undertaken multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and has published dozens of SCI papers. Hou Jianying, a volunteer of Changier, participated in the symposium.
