On April 6, 2025, President Zhang Yinjun
engaged in a four-hour in-depth meeting in Jakarta with the Chairman of
Indonesia's renowned real estate company Metland and representatives from its
"Yayasan Metropolitan Peduli" foundation. The meeting lasted from 6 p.m. to 10
p.m., and through the convergence of emotions and ideas, both parties reached an
exciting consensus: to establish Indonesia's first physical Maternal Love
Academy in West Java Province, with the land for the project being provided free
of charge by the Metland. This marks another significant milestone for the
Beijing Changier Education Foundation in advancing the internationalization of
Maternal Love education.

Mr. Nanda Widya, the Chairman of Metland and founder of the Yayasan Metropolitan Peduli, attended the meeting along with his wife and daughter. Mr. Ronnie, the CEO of the Yayasan Metropolitan Peduli, a representative from the Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation, Indonesian twin sisters Sri Rossyati and Sri Irianingsih, and local Indonesian partners in education and disability care were also present at the meeting. The atmosphere was warm and solemn.
During the exchange, Ms. Zhang Yinjun showcased
video and image materials of the Lingnan Maternal Love Academy in Huazhou,
Guangdong, China, as a typical example among the more than 210 Maternal Love
Academies. She also provided a detailed introduction to the models and
achievements of the Maternal Love Academies in serving left-behind children,
bereaved mothers, and mothers of special-needs children across various regions
in China. Metland representatives were profoundly touched upon witnessing these
vivid scenes and hearing the transformative life stories of the mothers. "We see
that you come with love and action," said the Metland representatives, "not with
slogans or mere visits; you are people who are genuinely willing to listen, to
act, and to stay."
Metland strongly endorses the maternal love
value education system promoted by the Maternal Love Academy and expresses its
willingness to support this model with corporate resources to help it take root
and thrive in Indonesia.
After amicable consultations, the participating
parties formally reached the following four agreements:
First, the Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation and the Indonesia Yayasan Metropolitan Peduli actively support the Beijing Changier Education Foundation's initiative to establish the "University of Human Maternal Love."
Second, the Maternal Love Academy in Indonesia will be established as a physical entity. Metland will provide the land free of charge and encourage charitable enterprises to participate in the academy's investment and construction. The initial site selection plan was to establish the Maternal Love Academy near the residence of the Indonesian twin sisters to facilitate their frequent visits and companionship. However, given that this is a wealthy area with low demand, both parties ultimately decided to implement the project in a more remote, densely populated community in West Java to achieve a greater social impact.
Third, the universities in Indonesia that collaborate with Metland will work together with the future Maternal Love Academy in Indonesia.
Fourth, Mr. Nanda Widya, the founder of the ayasan Metropolitan Peduli, will be awarded the Fervent Global Love of Lives Award by the Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation in 2026 at its 29th ceremony. May this philanthropist's inspiring story reach every corner of the world, encouraging more entrepreneurs to follow suit and extend their help to those in need.
The founding journey of Metland Group is
equally commendable. In 1970, PT Metropolitan Development, an urban development
company founded by seven prominent Indonesian entrepreneurs, was established
amid the wave of national modernization. In 1994, it spun off to form the
Metland Group, which focuses on residential development and green ecological
principles. With over 50 years of experience in real estate development,
Metland, as a public company, consistently treats "high-quality construction"
and "social responsibility" as two complementary pillars. Additionally, it
converts the company's business capabilities into tangible social benefits
through the establishment of a foundation system.
Since its establishment in 2000, the "Jakarta Yayasan Metropolitan Peduli," dedicated to education, healthcare, and disaster relief, has consistently served the broader disadvantaged communities in Indonesia, with particular expertise in supporting blind children.
As this collaboration deepens, the Beijing
Changier Education Foundation will officially initiate the localization and
curriculum adaptation of the Maternal Love Academy in Indonesia. The project
aims to offer psychological support, skills training, and family rebuilding
assistance to mothers of local children with special needs, while also expanding
its impact to broader community educational initiatives.
Maternal love knows no boundaries, and
education is powerful. This profound dialogue and mutual accomplishment spanning
thousands of miles represents a fusion of cultures and a response to shared
beliefs. As President Zhang Yinjun said at the end of the meeting, "We are not
here to establish an academy; we are here to plant love in the land together
with everyone." "May this 'Maternal Love Academy' take root and flourish under
the Indonesian sun, ultimately blossoming into a flower of hope for mothers and
children worldwide."
