On 10th January, the second Dialogue on Civilization Exchange and Mutual Learning was held in Beijing, hosted by the Chinese Association for International Understanding, under the guidance of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC).

The theme of the dialogue was “Adhere to the Concept of Cultural Diversity and Promote the Common Values of All Mankind”. Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan made a video address at the forum. Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee Ji Bingxuan delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. The guests presented their views on three major topics, “Peace and development: the foundation of human existence and the guarantee for the continuation of civilization”; “Fairness and justice: the social ideal of mankind and the direction of civilization”; “Democracy and freedom: mankind creates political civilization and people judge the political system".

Some 260 politicians and envoys from more than 40 countries attended the dialogue both online and offline. Mrs. Zhang Yinjun, Director of China Economic and Social Council, Deputy Director of the Women and Children's Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party Central Committee and Chairman of Beijing Changier Education Foundation, was invited to attend the event online.
