On November 27th, 2017, two important events for AIDS prevention and treatment were held simultaneously.

"All for the Children - World AIDS Day 2017 Public Good Concert" was held at the China Grand Theatre. Mrs. Peng Liyuan, National AIDS Campaigner and WHO Goodwill Ambassador for the Fight against Tuberculosis and AIDS attended the event. The theme of the event was: Stop mother-to-child transmission of HIV, China in action.

At the same time, "Mobilizing the whole society, starting from education, based on prevention - the 3rd Symposium on AIDS prevention and treatment for Chinese youth" was held in the auditorium of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). It was co-sponsored by DPP Central Committee, National People's Congress, Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Office of the State Council Working Committee on AIDS Prevention and Control, National Health and Family Planning Commission, Ministry of Education, and ten high-profile social organizations. The event focused on creating mechanisms for HIV prevention and sexual health education in schools and interrupting sexual transmission.
