On July 28, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (National Rural Revitalization Administration) organized a mobilization order on the counterpart assistance between national social organizations, social organizations in eastern provinces (and municipalities directly under the central government) and 160 key counties. Foundations in Beijing responded to the call by taking active measures, establishing close contacts with the key counties being assisted, and providing various forms of charitable resources.
Beijing Changier Education Foundation, paired with Huade County in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, provided 108,000 yuan grants for 54 students in poverty, distributed 108,000 yuan scholarships; donated 1,320 English dictionary pens and translation pens, with a value of 510,000 yuan; donated video courses on AIDS prevention and sexual health education, epidemic prevention and disinfection supplies, and also built Changier Huts. Changier also donated 645 English dictionary pens and translation pens to Yushu Ethnic School in Qinghai Province, and 850 English dictionary pens and translation pens to Zhouqu No. 1 Middle School in Gansu Province. A total of 3.318 million yuan donations were made to the three counties.
