From November 3 to 4, 2025, Beijing Changier
Education Foundation, in partnership with the General Office of the Ministry of
Ecology and Environment, held the unveiling and donation ceremony for Changier
Huts in Longhua County, Chengde, Hebei Province, and conducted a series of
research and training activities. This event not only injects new momentum into
local adolescent mental health education, but also demonstrates the
responsibility and commitment of the new social strata in serving national
strategies and promoting the integrated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei
region.
Zhang Yinjun, a member of the National New
Social Stratum "New Goodness China" Service Group, Director of the Social Public
Welfare Committee of the Beijing New Social Stratum Association, and President
of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, led her team to the grassroots
level, fully leveraging the advantages of new social stratum professionals in
resource integration, professional leadership, and public welfare engagement.
Using "Education of Love" as the focal point, the initiative aims to promote
coordinated educational development and integrated social progress across the
Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
On November 3, at the donation ceremony, attendees included Wang Zuoshu, former member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, former Deputy Director of the Committee on Education, Science, Health and Sports, former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, and Chief Advisor of APEPCY; Cao Jinqing, Second-level Inspector of the General Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment; Zhang Chao, Deputy Secretary of the Longhua County Party Committee; Wang Yanlin, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Longhua County People's Congress; and Xin Donglin, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Longhua County Education and Sports Bureau. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Yanlin.
Zhang Chao, on behalf of the Longhua County
Party Committee and County Government, extended a warm welcome to Zhang Yinjun
and her delegation, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the foundation for its
long-standing support to Longhua. He pointed out that mental health education is
an important pillar for implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue
through education. He expressed hope that the county's education system would
seize the establishment of the Changier Huts as an opportunity to strengthen
in-depth cooperation with the foundation and promote the normalization and
professionalization of mental health education.
At the ceremony, Wang Zuoshu, Zhang Yinjun, Cao
Jinqing, Zhang Chao and others jointly unveiled plaques for the "Changier Huts"
at 30 primary and secondary schools in Longhua County. Beijing Changier
Education Foundation donated books and video course resources valued at over RMB
8 million to the Longhua County Education and Sports Bureau, covering topics
including mental health, sex education, AIDS prevention, and family education.
Xin Donglin accepted the donation on behalf of the bureau and presented a banner
to the foundation in appreciation.
Longhua County, hometown of the hero Dong
Cunrui, boasts a rich revolutionary heritage. Zhang Yinjun stated in her speech:
"'Changier Huts' are not only physical spaces for psychological services, but
also spiritual bastions for passing down the revolutionary legacy and nurturing
the new generation of our times. We will continue to advance the 'Education of
Love' project and the assistance program for students in difficult
circumstances, ensuring they take root in Longhua so that every child can grow
up healthily in an environment of love and respect." She also introduced the
foundation's 20 years of public welfare achievements and announced that the
eponymous public welfare film "Changier" will be released nationwide on November
28, calling on society as a whole to join in supporting the healthy growth of
adolescents.
Following the donation ceremony, Wang Zuoshu delivered a keynote presentation on "Education and Teaching". He emphasized the importance of integrating theory with practice, guiding classroom instruction and school management with sound educational principles, and ensuring that educational innovation and moral education advance in tandem in the age of artificial intelligence, with the aim of cultivating young people who possess well-rounded character, a sense of patriotism and family-nation responsibility, and innovative capabilities.
During the event, Zeng Qingpeng, Longhua County
Party Secretary, Yang Lin, County Magistrate, and Du Zhipeng and Leng Liying,
Deputy County Magistrates, warmly greeted the attending guests and held in-depth
discussions with Wang Zuoshu, Zhang Yinjun, and Cao Jinqing on high-quality
education development, cultural heritage preservation, and coordinated regional
economic and social advancement, fully recognizing the positive role of
philanthropic efforts in promoting balanced regional development.
On November 4, the working group visited the
Longhua County Teacher Development Center, Lanqi Middle School, Longhua No. 1
Middle School, and Zhangjying Middle School to gain an in-depth understanding of
the operational status of the Changier Huts and put forward optimization
suggestions on key issues such as teacher training, curriculum implementation,
and home-school collaboration. Wang Zuoshu emphasized: "Changier Huts are an
important vehicle for schools to implement national education policies. They
must not only be officially established but also 'take root'; they must not only
display signage but also deliver results. It is essential to improve
institutional processes, establish robust referral mechanisms, strengthen
professional support, and achieve sustainable development."
Zhang Yanling, a National Level II Psychological Counselor and Family Education Instructor, conducted specialized training for more than 160 psychology teachers and moral education directors across the county. The course content covers family education guidance, psychological intervention techniques, and interdisciplinary applications, presented in an accessible manner with a strong emphasis on practical implementation. Participating teachers actively engaged by asking questions and exchanging ideas through "small notes", and spontaneously formed online learning groups to translate training outcomes into school-based practices.
Zhang Yinjun stated that as a representative of the new social stratum, she has always been committed to serving society with her professional expertise and giving back to grassroots communities through public welfare initiatives. This initiative represents both a concrete implementation of the national strategy for coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and a vivid demonstration of how members of new social strata are participating in social governance and promoting common prosperity. Moving forward, the Foundation will continue to provide sustained support in resource allocation, talent development, and project evaluation, helping Longhua establish a model for mental health education.
This public welfare initiative not only brings quality educational resources to grassroots communities in county-level areas, but also creates a collaborative platform that facilitates Beijing-Hebei cooperation and multi-stakeholder engagement. Beijing's new social strata are making tangible contributions of wisdom and strength to the new journey of advancing coordinated regional development and building a Healthy China.
