On November 26, the Seventh Member Representative Conference of the China Guangcai Program Promotion Association was solemnly held in Beijing. Wang Huning, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, cordially met with all participating representatives. At this conference, Zhang Yinjun, Chairperson of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, was elected as a Standing Committee Member of the Seventh Board of Directors of the China Guangcai Program Promotion Association.

Li Guozhong, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council; Li Ganjie, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department; He Wei, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and President of the Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants’ and Workers’ Democratic Party; and Wang Yong, Vice Chairperson of the CPPCC National Committee, participated in the meeting.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Li Ganjie pointed out that the CPC Central Committee attaches great importance to the development of the Guangcai Program. General Secretary Xi Jinping has delivered important statements on multiple occasions, providing clear guidance and fundamental principles for advancing public welfare undertakings in the new era. He emphasized the need to guide private entrepreneurs to consciously follow the path of high-quality development, contribute to the transition from “getting rich first to promoting common prosperity,” and strive to become a new generation of “Guangcai people” who courageously shoulder the responsibilities of the times.

Accolades in Service, Responsibility on the Shoulders

After deliberation, the conference approved the work report and the draft amendments to the statutes, and elected the leadership structure of the seventh Board of Directors. Shen Ying was elected Chairperson. At this assembly, Comrade Zhang Yinjun, Chairperson of the Beijing Changier Education Foundation, was honorably elected as an Executive Director of the seventh Board of Directors of the China Guangcai Program Promotion Association.

It is reported that a total of seven representatives from the capital’s emerging social strata entered the new Board of Directors to serve in official capacities. The election of Chairperson Zhang Yinjun as one of these representatives to the Standing Committee of the Board reflects not only high recognition of her longstanding dedication to public welfare and her committed service to the national agenda, but also full affirmation of the Changier Education Foundation’s solid charitable work and its active fulfillment of social responsibility.

The Guangcai Program has become an important force for the united front in serving the overall strategic priorities of the country, and a key platform for demonstrating the institutional strengths of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. Standing on this new starting point, Chairperson Zhang Yinjun stated that she would take this election as renewed motivation, earnestly study and implement the spirit of the assembly, and gain a deep understanding of the missions and tasks of the Guangcai Program in the new era.

The Changier Education Foundation will continue to fulfill its responsibilities with dedication and professionalism. The foundation remains committed to integrating its institutional development into China’s broader national development agenda. It will carry out pragmatic work in areas such as promoting coordinated regional development between urban and rural communities, as well as supporting the healthy growth of adolescents. The foundation will also continue to advance accessible education on HIV/AIDS prevention, mental health care, family education, and sexual health, ensuring that these initiatives take root effectively at the grassroots level. Looking ahead, Zhang Yinjun emphasized that Changier would uphold the spirit of Guangcai and strive to be a “new Guangcai person” who bears the responsibilities of the times. Through these sustained efforts, the foundation will contribute its due strength to promoting high-quality economic and social development and to advancing Chinese-style modernization.
