On the occasion of the 36th World AIDS Day, on the morning of November 28th, the Fengtai District World AIDS Day publicity month themed "Converging Social Forces, Joining Hands to Fight AIDS" and the launch ceremony for the fifth round of national HIV/AIDS comprehensive prevention and treatment demonstration area were successfully held.

The event was organized by the Fengtai District AIDS Prevention and Control Working Committee in Beijing, and was hosted by the Fengtai District Health Commission, Fengtai District Center for Disease Prevention and Control, and the Beijing Changier Education Foundation. Sun Weidong, deputy director of Beijing Association of STD and AIDS Prevention and control, Xing Haiyan, deputy chairwoman and secretary-general of Beijing Changier Education Foundation, Cao Cong, deputy director of Fengtai District AIDS Prevention and Control Working Committee and vice director of Fengtai District Health Commission, Xin Zhenjiang, member of the Party Committee of Fengtai District Health Commission and director of Fengtai District Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Ren Xianlong, deputy director of AIDS Prevention and Control Institute of the Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control, along with leading officials from the member units of Fengtai District AIDS Prevention and Control Committee, from streets and towns, from relevant medical institutions, and representatives of social organizations for AIDS prevention and control, totaling over 200 attendees, were present at the event.

A self-written, directed, and performed original AIDS prevention psychodrama titled "Fearless of AIDS Because of Love" was presented by teachers and students from Beijing No. 18 High School. The play conveyed knowledge and prevention methods of AIDS to the audience through its vivid storylines and distinctive character portrayals. Through the form of psychodrama, the public will be better guided to establish a correct concept of AIDS prevention.

This event will effectively promote the advancement of AIDS prevention publicity in Fengtai District, enhance public's awareness of AIDS prevention, and initiate a new chapter of "Converging Social Forces, Joining Hands to Fight AIDS".
